We're seeking a versatile HR/Office Manager and Executive Assistant to join our tight-knit team and support our mission of excellence.

About the Role

As our HR/Office Manager and Executive Assistant, you'll be the heartbeat of our office operations, blending human resources expertise with efficient administrative leadership and direct support to the Principal/Owner. This role is perfect for a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment, handles confidential information with discretion, and enjoys fostering a positive workplace culture. You'll report directly to the Owner, providing high-level assistance to executive leadership, ensuring smooth day-to-day functions while supporting our growing team of skilled tradespeople and professionals. Note: This position does not involve any accounting or financial processing duties.

Key Responsibilities

- HR Management: Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes; manage employee records, benefits administration, and compliance with labor laws (e.g., OSHA, FLSA).

- Office Operations: Coordinate office supplies, vendor relationships, and facility maintenance; implement efficient workflows using tools industry tools.

- Executive Assistance: Manage the Owner's calendar, schedule meetings and travel, prepare executive reports and presentations, and handle confidential correspondence and special projects.

- Employee Engagement: Organize team-building events, handle performance reviews, and promote a safe work environment.

- Internal Communications: Develop and distribute company-wide updates, such as newsletters, policy announcements, and meeting agendas to keep the team informed and aligned.

- Ad Hoc Projects: Support special initiatives, such as policy updates or office relocations, as needed.

Qualifications

- Experience: 3–5 years in HR, office management, executive assistance, or administrative roles, preferably in construction, manufacturing, or a similar industry.

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

- Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities; proficiency in HR software and Google Workspace/Microsoft 365. Knowledge of construction-specific regulations is a plus.

- Personal Attributes: Detail-oriented, empathetic communicator, and adaptable team player with a can-do attitude. SHRM-CP or PHR certification is advantageous but not required.

- Other: Valid driver's license and ability to occasionally visit job sites.
