Human Resources Manager (Recruiter)

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively source candidates through social media and professional networks
  • Build and maintain a network of contacts and partnerships to create a strong candidate pool for current and future openings
  • Manage the full recruitment process in alignment with company staffing needs defined by management
  • Post job openings, screen resumes, and coordinate interviews
  • Develop and execute onboarding programs for new employees
  • Review and update company policies to ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws (FMLA, EEO, health & safety, privacy, etc.)
  • Maintain accurate and compliant employee records
  • Support a positive workplace culture through training, communication, and leadership development
  • Address and resolve employee relations issues; handle investigations when necessary
  • Provide guidance on onboarding, performance management, corrective actions, and employee engagement
  • Administer employee benefits (health/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), life and disability plans, COBRA, etc.)
  • Coordinate annual benefits renewals and negotiate with brokers and providers
  • Handle communication with federal and state agencies (IRS, DOL, Department of Employment Security, etc.)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
  • Minimum 5+ years of HR experience
  • Previous logistics or transportation industry experience preferred
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Solution-oriented, flexible, and proactive mindset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and internet-based tools
