Job Summary:

Serves as Human Resources Coordinator for the MWMC Human Resources Department. The Human Resources Coordinator will undertake a variety of HR administrative duties. Facilitates daily HR functions such as onboarding, employee records, tracking licenses and certifications, responding to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests and provide assistance. Redirect HR related calls or distribute correspondence to the appropriate person of the HR team, maintain personnel-related data (payroll, personal information, leaves, turnover rates etc.) in both paper and electronic form and ensure all employment requirements are met. Some examples of job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Dedicated to guiding new hires through a seamless onboarding process.
  • Conduct orientation sessions, coordinate with IT/departments, and foster a sense of belonging to promote retention.
  • Processing employment paperwork, scheduling start dates, setting up workspaces, and ensuring compliance with labor laws.
  • Creating a welcoming environment, conducting training, preparing onboarding kits, and introducing new hires to team members.
  • Point of contact for walk-in visitors
  • Checking general voicemail
  • Paper and electronic filing
  • Helps administer employee benefits to include retirement plan. Helps to communicate all benefits to employees and acts as liaison between employees and insurance companies regarding specific claims.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an HR Coordinator or relevant human resources/administrative position preferred
  • Strong ability in using MS Office Products (Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with HR databases and HRIS systems (e.g. Ultipro) preferred
  • Exceptional verbal and written skills.
  • Ability to engage with new hires and make them feel comfortable. Federal, State and Local Employment laws
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work on several projects at once
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Prior Human Resources Experience preferred
  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree with major or emphasis in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a closely related field preferred.
