Job Title: Human Resources Assistant

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

- Answers to inquiries for the HR department.
- Performs HRIS data entry and personnel file maintenance.
- Process bi-weekly payroll
- Assists employees and supervisors with basic interpretation of HR policies and procedures.
- Maintains confidential personnel files and personnel actions.
- Prepare letters and employment documentation
- Assist with onboarding and orientation processes
- Responds to reference checks and verifications of employment status.
- Assists with various HR projects.
- Assists with benefits administration.
- Process attendance records and other documents (e.g. W-2 and tax forms)
- Check payroll information for accuracy and ensure all relevant paperwork is in order
- Process all personnel with HR about changes in payroll (e.g. terminations, new hires)
- Oversee electronic payments and distribution of payroll checks
- Update data with salary or wage adjustments
- Support audits and reporting requirements
- Process other financial compensation or deductions (e.g. annual bonuses, severance pay, taxes, worker’s compensation)
- Administer benefit expenses, like insurance fees or paid leave
- Prepare reports to upper management upon request
PRINCIPAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED
Education:
- High School Diploma/ GED or equivalent
Work Experience:
- Paycor experience preferred
- 6 Month Experience or entry level HR background or understanding preferred
- Understanding of all Microsoft programs word, excel, power point, outlook etc.
- Expertise with multi state payroll process
- Proficiency in timekeeping systems
