Overview
This is an entry level role focused primarily on supporting payroll operations while gaining hands-on experience in Human Resources. This position will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while assisting with essential HR functions such as onboarding, employee records, and administrative support.
Duties
- Assist with payroll processing, including data entry, verification of employee information, and ensuring timely and accurate pay.
- Review timecards and attendance records, identifying and resolving basic discrepancies.
- Maintain and update employee records within payroll systems.
- Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, timekeeping, and basic HR questions; escalate more complex issues as needed.
- Support onboarding activities, including new hire documentation and orientation coordination.
- Assist with benefits administration tasks such as enrollments and employee updates.
- Support HR compliance by maintaining accurate documentation and records.
- Assist with audits, reporting, and other administrative HR tasks as assigned.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as needed.
Qualifications
- 0–2 years of experience in administrative, payroll, or HR-related roles (or relevant education/training).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with numbers and data.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication skills and willingness to learn.
- Experience with payroll systems is a plus, but not required.
Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
