Human Resources & Payroll Coordinator (Part-Time)

Schedule: Approximately 10 Hours Per Week

The Human Resources & Payroll Coordinator will provide administrative and operational support across payroll, attendance management, benefits administration, compliance, employee records, and HR systems.
Key ResponsibilitiesPayroll & Timekeeping Support
- Review and process payroll exceptions within Paycom.
- Pull payroll-related reports and update payroll exception logs.
- Coordinate with managers and HR leadership regarding:
- Pay rate changes
- Job transfers
- Promotions
- Job bids
- Payroll corrections
- Assist with payroll preparation and audit activities.
- Generate post-payroll reports and maintain payroll documentation.
Attendance Administration
- Manage attendance tracking and point calculations.
- Audit attendance records for accuracy and consistency.
- Prepare attendance-related corrective action documentation.
- Communicate attendance concerns to supervisors.
- Maintain attendance files and records.
- Understand and apply attendance policies, including NPSL requirements.
Benefits Administration
- Assist employees with benefit enrollment and changes.
- Process qualifying life events.
- Support benefit terminations and eligibility updates.
- Answer basic employee benefit questions.
- Assist with Open Enrollment preparation and administration.
HRIS & Paycom Administration
- Maintain employee records within Paycom.
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Send onboarding packets and complete employee setup.
- Process employee terminations.
- Upload and maintain employee documents.
- Monitor training dashboards and assigned learning requirements.
- Upload and maintain job descriptions, SOPs, and HR documentation.
- Assist with recruiting administration and job posting activities.
Compliance & Employee Records
- Maintain personnel files and I-9 documentation.
- Ensure compliance with document retention requirements.
- Complete employment verifications (VOEs).
- Assist with workers’ compensation reporting and documentation.
- Maintain HR files and records according to company standards.
Administrative & Employee Support
- Update weekly emergency evacuation rosters.
- Maintain plant and office communication boards.
- Order business cards, nameplates, and related materials.
- Assist with employee events, meetings, lunches, and visitor coordination.
- Provide general administrative support to the HR department.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of Human Resources, Payroll, or HR Administration experience.
- Experience working with HRIS systems; Paycom experience strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of payroll processing and timekeeping practices.
- Knowledge of employee benefits administration.
- Familiarity with I-9 compliance and record retention requirements.
- Experience supporting attendance management programs.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and follow-up skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
