Join a movement, not just a workplace. As a Human Resources Recruiter, you’ll help grow the team that brings our member-first mission to life.

At Community First, we believe that people are at the heart of everything we do, and nothing is more important than serving our member-owners - and that starts with hiring people who live our values every day. As a Human Resources Recruiter, you’ll play a vital role in growing a passionate, service-driven team that embodies our commitment to “Finding a Way.” Make connections, build relationships, and create an exceptional experience from the very first interaction with a candidate.

In this role, you'll help shape our culture, strengthen our branches and contact center, and support the people who make Community First such a special place to work.

As our Human Resources Recruiter, you will:

  • Help build a mission-driven team. Source, interview, and recommend candidates who exemplify our values and are well-suited for branch and contact center roles.
  • Partner with leaders. Collaborate with hiring managers to understand needs, create effective recruiting plans, and ensure a smooth, aligned hiring process.
  • Deliver an exceptional candidate experience. Manage postings, sourcing, interviews, references, background checks, and ATS activity while communicating our mission and culture throughout the process.
  • Represent CFCU in the community. Build relationships with high schools, colleges and universities, and local organizations; participate in job fairs and events to attract strong talent.
  • Support growth and compliance. Assist with HR projects, analyze recruiting data, follow up with new hires and managers, and ensure hiring practices meet all regulatory requirements.

An ideal candidate will have a combination of:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field
  • Recruiting or HR experience, including internship experience, is a plus
  • Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • A passion for people and creating great candidate experiences

Why Community First?

When you join Community First Credit Union, you’re joining more than an HR team – you’re joining a cooperative where people truly come first. Every member is an owner, and that same care extends to our employees. In this role, you’ll help build the teams that drive our mission, shape our culture, and strengthen our impact in the community. Here, your work doesn’t just fill positions – it helps create a workplace where people thrive.
