Job Summary

The HR Representative supports both field and office HR operations with a focus on onboarding execution, employee support, data accuracy, benefits administration, and compliance coordination. This role serves as a primary point of contact for employees and managers, ensuring consistent HR processes are followed while escalating complex matters to HR leadership. The HR partners closely with Payroll, Talent Acquisition, Safety, and Operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as a first-line HR contact for employee questions related to policies, benefits, pay processes, and HR programs.
  • Maintain accurate employee data across HR systems (ex. CMIC, UKG, Health Equity). Support system testing, updates, and documentation of HR processes
  • Review and validate HR data, census reports, and routine audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Identify data discrepancies and work cross-functionally to resolve root causes.
  • Own execution and follow through of onboarding processes for field and office employees, partnering with HR Coordinators on scheduling and documentation.
  • Serve as the primary HR contact for new hires during their onboarding period, ensuring completion of required steps and a positive onboarding experience.
  • Conduct or co-facilitate HR orientation sessions and ensure compliance-related onboarding requirements are met.
  • Track onboarding and offboarding progress and resolve issues independently, escalating exceptions as needed.
  • Provide guidance on standard HR policies and procedures, escalating employee relations concerns, investigations, and performance matters.
  • Maintaining and updating HR policies and employee handbook.
  • Support employee engagement and recognition initiatives, including milestone tracking and communications.
  • Support employee benefit enrollments, open enrollment, life event changes, and terminations to ensure timely updates across systems.
  • Support and coordinate performance management processes, including timelines, documentation, system updates, track completion of reviews, corrective actions, communication and development plans to ensure consistency and timeliness.
  • Conduct or participate in initial candidate interviews, focusing on skills, culture alignment, and job readiness.
  • Other duties assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of HR experience or similar experience in a role involving employee support, compliance coordination, data management, or people operations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience serving as a primary employee-facing HR contact.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Strong HRIS experience (UKG or similar preferred).
  • High level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This role supports both field and office environments and may require occasional travel to job sites or recruiting events. Must be comfortable managing multiple priorities and working independently within established HR framework
