Salary: $45,000 to 55,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Human Resources Manager to lead HR

operations for our Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) services organization.

This role oversees recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and HR strategy while

supporting a positive, mission-driven workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, retention, and employee

relations

• Ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws and IDD regulatory

requirements

• Oversee personnel records, background checks, credentialing, and required training

• Support performance management, corrective action, and workplace investigations

• Partner with leadership to strengthen staff engagement and retention initiatives

• Coordinate benefits administration, payroll support, and leave management

• Prepare HR documentation for audits, licensing, and accreditation reviews

• Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

preferred

• SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification required (or obtained within 6–12 months of hire)

• 3–5 years of progressive HR experience; IDD, healthcare, or social services experience

preferred

• Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices

• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to manage sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
