Dreams For Change is seeking a full-time Human Source Specialist. Under the supervision of the Director of Business Operations, the Human Resources Specialist will work closely with the Director on employee onboarding, personnel files, employee issues/concerns, payroll and benefits.
Responsibilities
· Enhances the organization’s human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices.
· Supports organization staff by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program; counseling managers on candidate selection; conducting and analyzing exit interviews; and recommending changes.
· Prepares employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and training programs.
· Ensures planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by hearing and resolving employee grievances; and counseling employees and supervisors.
· Implements employee benefits programs and informs employees of benefits
· Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements.
· Enforces management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.
· Prepare, oversee, and process payroll and benefits administration
This position requires knowledge of and demonstrated success in human resource functions. The ideal candidate will have a combination of the following skills and experiences:
· Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or similar work experience required
· 3+ years of experience in progressively responsible human resource roles
· 3+ years of experience in a supervisory role
· Positive relationship building and conflict resolution skills are required.
· Exceptional problem-solving and expert decision-making skills are required
· Experience working with and maintaining sensitive and confidential information required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.00 - $28.00 per hour
