We are expanding our team and seeking a dedicated HR professional to support our hiring, compliance, and employee engagement operations in the U.S.
Position Overview
The HR Specialist/Manager will play a key role in supporting ABL’s people operations — overseeing recruitment, onboarding, benefits, training, and compliance for our growing team. This role requires someone hands-on, detail-oriented, and passionate about building an efficient, compliant, and positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Partner with management and hiring teams to define job requirements, source candidates, and conduct interviews.
- Manage the full recruitment cycle: posting, screening, scheduling, extending offers, and onboarding.
- Oversee background checks, I-9 verification, and new-hire documentation.
- Conduct employee orientation and maintain updated employee records.
HR Operations & Compliance
- Administer employee benefits programs and assist with enrollments, claims, and policy communication.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws, including California-specific regulations.
- Maintain employee files and HRIS data with confidentiality and accuracy.
- Manage timekeeping, attendance, and related HR documentation.
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Foster strong employee relations and support an open, positive workplace environment.
- Provide guidance to employees and supervisors on company policies and HR matters.
- Conduct exit interviews and propose improvements to enhance retention and morale.
- Partner with management on employee recognition, development, and training initiatives.
Training & Development
- Coordinate mandatory and professional development training programs.
- Track completion and maintain records to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Immigration & Global Support
- Support visa and immigration processes, coordinating documentation and timelines as needed.
- Liaise with cross-border (U.S.–China) teams to align policies and HR initiatives.
Vendor & Partner Management
- Manage relationships with HR-related vendors and BPO partners, ensuring SLAs and KPIs are met.
- Recommend and implement process improvements for HR systems, documentation, and workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of HR experience; manufacturing or supplement industry background preferred.
- Strong knowledge of California and Federal employment laws.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, handle confidential information, and manage multiple priorities.
- Mandarin Chinese proficiency is a plus (for communication with global teams).

Base Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
