Position Overview
Bulletproof Group is seeking a highly driven Human Resources & Talent Acquisition Manager to build and manage our internal hiring engine and HR infrastructure.
This role is responsible for sourcing, interviewing, vetting, and onboarding talent across multiple Bulletproof companies, eliminating reliance on outside recruiters and capturing those savings internally.
The ideal candidate is resourceful, highly organized, and comfortable recruiting across a wide range of roles including HVAC wholesale, HVAC service technicians, sales, marketing, operations, and administrative positions.
This role requires someone who is proactive in sourcing talent daily, not simply posting job listings and waiting for applicants.
Core Mission
Build a repeatable, in-house recruiting machine while maintaining professional, compliant HR operations across the Bulletproof organization.
Key ResponsibilitiesTalent Acquisition (Primary Focus)
- Source qualified candidates without relying on external recruiters
- Build and maintain candidate pipelines across multiple roles including:
- HVAC wholesale personnel
- HVAC service technicians
- Sales representatives
- Marketing roles
- Administrative staff
- Operations personnel
- Post and manage job listings across platforms such as Indeed, LinkedIn, and other recruiting channels
- Proactively identify and engage passive candidates through outreach and networking
- Conduct phone screenings and initial candidate interviews
- Coordinate interviews with hiring managers and leadership
- Perform reference checks and coordinate background checks
- Present qualified candidates to leadership for final consideration
- Track recruiting KPIs including time-to-fill and pipeline health
- Continuously improve hiring funnels and recruiting processes
- Maintain candidate pipelines even when roles are not actively open
Success Metric:
Reduce or eliminate recruiter fees while maintaining high-quality hires.
HR Operations
- Prepare and manage new hire onboarding documentation
- Ensure completion of all employment paperwork (I-9, W-4, etc.)
- Maintain organized and compliant employee records
- Track PTO, employment status, and HR documentation
- Assist management with employee relations issues
- Support disciplinary documentation when needed
- Maintain compliance with federal and Florida employment regulations
- Coordinate benefits administration when applicable
- Assist with offboarding and exit documentation
- Help build scalable HR SOPs as the organization grows
Employee Support & Relations
- Serve as a point of contact for employee HR questions
- Help resolve workplace issues professionally and efficiently
- Support a positive company culture across multiple entities
- Monitor employee retention trends
- Identify potential personnel risks early and communicate with leadership
Process Building (Important for Bulletproof Scale)
- Build standardized hiring workflows
- Create interview scorecards and evaluation frameworks
- Develop role scorecards for key positions
- Implement applicant tracking and recruiting best practices
- Help leadership forecast hiring needs as the company grows
- Support recruiting efforts across multiple companies within the Bulletproof Group
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in HR, recruiting, or talent acquisition
- Proven ability to source candidates without relying on external recruiters
- Experience hiring for skilled trades, operations, or sales roles preferred
- Strong candidate screening and interview evaluation skills
- High level of organization and follow-through
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working with ATS or CRM-style recruiting systems
- Solid understanding of HR compliance fundamentals
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Experience in HVAC, construction, or skilled trades
- Experience recruiting for field-based employees
- Experience supporting multi-entity organizations
- Familiarity with Florida employment regulations
- HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) — not required
- Experience building HR processes from the ground up
Compensation Structure
Base Salary: $70,000
Performance Bonuses:
- $1,000 bonus after 30 days of successful employment for each new hire
- $1,000 bonus after 90 days of successful employment for each new hire
- $1,000 bonus after 180 days of successful employment for each new hire
This structure rewards successful hires and long-term employee retention.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
