The Humate Processing Operators play a critical role in the drying, processing, and handling of raw humate material delivered from the mine site, ensuring it meets quality standards for finished product. This team member is a skilled partner, with experience in plant or industrial operations, has mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient production environment.
Roles & Responsibilities

Operate and monitor dryers, conveyors, screens, and other processing equipment used in the production of humate-based materials.

Load, unload, and transfer raw and processed materials between production areas and storage locations.

Adjust process settings and equipment controls to maintain proper moisture content and product quality.

Perform routine equipment inspections and assist with preventive maintenance and cleaning to ensure optimal plant performance.

Monitor gauges, flow meters, and control panels; identify and report any irregularities or equipment malfunctions.

Follow MSHA and OSHA safety regulations, site procedures, and environmental standards.

Assist with bagging, stockpiling, or packaging of finished humate product as required.

Keep accurate production logs, maintenance records, and quality control data.

Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring safe access to equipment and materials.

Collaborate with team members, mine operators, and supervisors to ensure smooth production flow from mine to plant.

Perform additional site or support tasks as assigned by supervision
Required Skills/ Abilities

Mechanical aptitude and basic knowledge of plant systems (dryers, conveyors, pumps, etc.).

Familiarity with process controls, instrumentation, or automated systems a plus.

Ability to read and follow work orders, safety instructions, and equipment manuals.

Must be able to pass or qualify toward MSHA certification and any applicable plant or equipment operator certifications.
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.

2+ years of experience in industrial, plant, or material processing operations preferred.

Valid driver’s license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements

Must be able to work outdoors and indoors in variable temperatures and conditions.
