HV Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented High Voltage (HV) Engineer to design, develop, maintain, and oversee high voltage electrical systems. The ideal candidate will ensure safe and efficient operation of electrical infrastructure while complying with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, install, test, and maintain high voltage electrical systems and equipment

Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and fault analysis of HV systems

Ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, and regulations

Coordinate with project teams for installation and commissioning of HV equipment

Prepare technical reports, documentation, and system specifications

Monitor system performance and recommend improvements

Conduct risk assessments and implement preventive maintenance plans

Support emergency repairs and system restoration activities

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field

Proven experience in high voltage systems (substations, transformers, switchgear, etc.)

Strong knowledge of electrical standards and safety regulations

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics

Good problem-solving and analytical skills

Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Preferred Skills:

Experience with testing equipment and HV diagnostics

Familiarity with SCADA systems and power distribution networks

Certification in electrical safety or HV operations (if applicable)
