Critical Role Deliverables:
- As a Strategic Account Executive / Key Account Manager for HVAC Consulting Services at DMG, you will own and lead a high-value enterprise relationship within the commercial real estate sector. This role is focused on driving long-term partnership value through strategic planning, executive engagement, and portfolio-wide optimization of HVAC and mechanical systems.
- You will act as a trusted advisor to Senior Stakeholders, aligning HVAC infrastructure strategies with broader business goals such as operational efficiency, sustainability, risk mitigation, and capital planning. This is a highly visible role requiring deep industry expertise, commercial acumen, and the ability to orchestrate cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-impact solutions.
Strategic & Operational Responsibilities

Own and manage a premier enterprise real estate client, overseeing a large, multi-site portfolio with a focus on centralized strategy and long-term value creation.

Build and deepen executive-level relationships with ownership groups, asset managers, facility leadership, and procurement teams, positioning yourself as a strategic partner.

Develop and execute a multi-year account strategy that aligns HVAC system performance with client goals, including energy efficiency, ESG initiatives, and lifecycle cost optimization.

Identify, prioritize, and close complex opportunities related to system modernization, decarbonization, retrofits, and capital replacement programs.

Lead portfolio-wide assessments to uncover operational inefficiencies, deferred maintenance risks, and opportunities for standardization and scalability.

Translate technical HVAC concepts into executive-level business cases, including ROI modeling, total cost of ownership (TCO), and risk-adjusted investment strategies.

Serve as the quarterback across engineering, operations, service, and project delivery teams to ensure seamless execution of turnkey solutions.

Negotiate and structure long-term agreements, master service agreements (MSAs), and capital project contracts that drive mutual value and retention.

Drive forecasting accuracy, pipeline development, and revenue growth within your assigned account(s).

Establish governance frameworks, including QBRs (Quarterly Business Reviews), performance scorecards, and strategic roadmap sessions.

Act as an escalation point for complex client challenges, ensuring proactive resolution and continuous improvement.

Stay ahead of market trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in HVAC, energy management, and smart building systems.

Mentor junior team members and contribute to best practices in enterprise account management.
Previous Performance Validators

5+ years of experience in strategic account management, HVAC/mechanical services, energy services, or commercial real estate environments.

Proven success managing and growing large enterprise or national accounts with complex stakeholder structures.

Strong expertise in HVAC systems, central plants, building automation systems (BAS), and energy efficiency solutions.

Demonstrated ability to develop and execute multi-year account strategies that drive measurable business outcomes.

Experience structuring and negotiating large-scale service agreements and capital projects.

Advanced financial and business acumen, including ROI modeling, capital planning, and portfolio-level analysis.

Executive presence with exceptional communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.

Experience leading cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization.

Proficiency with CRM platforms such as Salesforce and pipeline forecasting methodologies.

Strong understanding of sustainability frameworks, decarbonization strategies, and regulatory considerations is a plus.

Bachelor’s degree required; engineering, business, or related field preferred.

Willingness to travel as needed to support client engagement across multiple locations.

Valid Driver’s License.
