HVAC Portable Rental Technician & Delivery Driver

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined HVAC Portable Rental Technician to deliver, install, inspect, service, and retrieve portable HVAC and climate-control equipment for customers. This role combines hands-on technical work with transportation and customer service responsibilities. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, organized, and comfortable working independently in the field.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up portable HVAC rental equipment at customer job sites and facilities
• Load, unload, secure, and transport equipment safely using company vehicles and trailers
• Install and set up temporary heating, cooling, dehumidification, and ventilation equipment
• Perform equipment inspections, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and minor repairs
• Test equipment to ensure proper operation before delivery and upon return
• Educate customers on basic operation and safety procedures
• Complete delivery paperwork, inspection reports, and service documentation accurately
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse, shop, and vehicles
• Assist with inventory management and equipment staging
• Follow all company safety policies, DOT requirements, and OSHA guidelines
• Respond to emergency service calls and after-hours customer needs as required

Qualifications

• HVAC experience preferred
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills required
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Ability to tow trailers and operate delivery trucks preferred
• Forklift certification or experience is a plus
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Basic understanding of electrical connections and HVAC systems

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50+ pounds
• Frequent standing, bending, climbing, and working outdoors
• Ability to work in varying weather and job-site conditions

Schedule

• Full-time position
• Overtime and occasional on-call/weekend work may be required during peak seasons
