Duties
- Assist senior technicians with installing, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, and refrigeration equipment.
- Learn to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to support system installation and maintenance.
- Support field service operations by performing routine maintenance tasks on HVAC equipment and property systems.
- Help with plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems such as pipe fitting and drainage connections.
- Use diagnostic tools like ohmmeters to identify electrical issues within HVAC units.
- Participate in equipment repair projects including welding or mechanical adjustments as needed.
- Support safety protocols during all tasks, including proper handling of ammonia refrigeration systems and other hazardous materials.
Skills
- Basic understanding of construction principles and mechanical systems.
- Prior service technician experience or related field service background is a plus.
- Familiarity with schematics, wiring diagrams, and HVAC system layouts.
- Knowledge of HVAC design concepts, refrigeration techniques, and plumbing fundamentals.
- Mechanical aptitude with experience in appliance repair or property maintenance preferred.
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and field testing equipment safely.
- Strong willingness to learn welding techniques, boiler operations, and ammonia refrigeration handling.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating <PERSON> drivers or similar vehicles advantageous.
