Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled BAS Installation Technician / Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical background, mechanical aptitude, and hands-on experience with HVAC and Building Automation Systems (BAS). This role requires a proactive, self‑motivated individual who can work independently, follow control drawings, and effectively troubleshoot installation challenges.
As a BAS Installation Technician, you will be responsible for installing OEM control systems, including running conduit, pulling and labeling wire, terminating devices per control drawings, and assembling OEM-provided BAS panels in a clean and organized manner. This position will also assist with unitary equipment replacements as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Install BAS control systems for HVAC systems and central plants according to specifications, schematics, and control drawings
- Run conduit, pull, label, and terminate wiring per project requirements
- Assemble BAS panels provided by OEMs in a clean and organized manner
- Perform inspections to ensure installations meet safety codes, standards, and regulations
- Utilize tools such as conduit benders, ohmmeters, and test equipment to verify proper operation
- Collaborate with team members to develop and execute effective installation plans
- Create and maintain accurate documentation, including red-line drawings
- Troubleshoot and resolve installation and wiring issues efficiently
- Provide professional customer service and communicate clearly with clients on-site
- Successfully pass background checks and drug screenings
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong electrical background with experience in commercial HVAC systems
- Proficiency with open-protocol BAS platforms such as FX, AX, Trane, ALC, and similar systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, control drawings, and specifications
- Solid understanding of computer systems and BAS installation processes
- Mechanical aptitude with experience in equipment repair, appliance repair, or property maintenance
- Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong organizational skills and commitment to clean, professional workmanship
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.47 - $48.24 per hour
