Sheet Metal Mechanic – HVAC (Residential Ductwork Installations)

Witkowski Mechanical LLC is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Mechanic for full-time residential ductwork installations in Baltimore City. This lead-level position offers a high degree of independence, steady work, and the opportunity to grow with a trusted mechanical team.

Responsibilities:

• Install and fabricate residential sheet metal ductwork according to mechanical drawings
• Collaborate with the Project Manager to design and install complete duct systems
• Serve as the lead installer on full-house renovation projects
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe worksite
• Ensure all work complies with Maryland State Code, local regulations, and OSHA safety standards
• Maintain your assigned company work truck and tools
• Adhere to company safety protocols including PPE, ladder safety, and confined space precautions

Other Duties:

• Assist in setting HVAC equipment (air handlers, furnaces, condensers, etc.)
• Help run copper refrigerant and drain lines
• Support occasional light commercial sheet metal jobs
• Assist with other HVAC-related tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in HVAC sheet metal installation (residential required)
• Strong knowledge of Maryland mechanical code
• Able to read blueprints and layout plans
• Valid driver’s license (required)
• Physically fit to lift 50+ lbs and work in attics, crawlspaces, or elevated areas
• Skilled in both metal and flex duct installations
• Leadership mindset with ability to work independently and guide team members

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
