HVAC Control Technician

Pay

• $20.00 – $35.00 per hour
• Wage depends on experience level.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform installation of automation controls, actuators, sensors, and communication wiring in commercial/industrial buildings.
• Must be self-motivated, goal and results oriented, customer focused and efficient in fast paced environment.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and control wiring diagrams.
• Install, terminate, and label low-voltage wiring as required.
• Troubleshoot electrical and control systems and perform basic service and maintenance.
• Be able to start up, commission, and implement new BMS/BAS control systems.
• Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written.
• Propose, plan, organize, and manage small service jobs.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum two (2) years controls experience, and five (5) years HVAC related experience.
• Proven experience with automation controls, wiring, actuators, sensors, relays, and power systems
• Skilled in low-voltage wiring, communication cables, and control panels
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Ability to work independently or with a team in active job site environments
• Must have valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with building automation systems (BAS/BMS)
• Working knowledge of Tridium/Niagara or other controls software platforms
• Tridium certification or equivalent is a plus
• Tridium N4/AX certification highly preferred
• Computer skills required:
• Microsoft Office products (Excel, Visio, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
• Experience with temperature control systems including Honeywell, Johnson Controls, and Trane is a plus
• Provide project programming and system checkout as required.
• Assist with material and equipment selection and ordering
