Design & Engineering:
1. Develop HVAC system concepts, load calculations, and equipment selection for pharma manufacturing, cleanroom, and laboratory facilities.
2. Prepare heat load, psychrometric, and airflow calculations using industry software (e.g., HAP, Carrier, Trace, etc.).
3. Design and detail Air Handling Units (AHUs), ducts, chillers, ventilation systems, and filtration units in line with cleanroom classifications (ISO 14644 / GMP).
4. Ensure proper zoning, air changes per hour (ACH), pressure cascades, and environmental conditions per process requirements.
5. Prepare detailed engineering drawings and layouts (schematics, P&IDs, ducting, and plant room layouts).6. Select and size HVAC components and accessories (HEPA filters, dampers, diffusers, ducting, valves, etc.).
2. Documentation & Compliance:
1. Prepare Design Qualification (DQ), User Requirement Specifications (URS), and other validation-related documents.
2. Ensure designs comply with pharmaceutical regulatory standards (cGMP, USFDA, WHO, MHRA, etc.) and cleanroom standards (ISO 14644).
3. Develop BOQs, technical specifications, and tender documentation for procurement. 3. Coordination:
1. Collaborate with process, utility, electrical, and architecture teams for integrated project design.
2. Support project and site teams during installation, commissioning, and validation phases.
3. Liaise with vendors and clients for technical discussions, design approvals, and equipment finalization.
4. Project Execution Support:
1. Provide technical guidance to site execution teams and contractors
2. Review Plant drawings and submittals from contractors/vendors.
3. Participate in site visits to ensure adherence to design intent and quality standards.
4. Support during commissioning, balancing, and performance testing stages.
