HVAC Engineer - Facility Maintenance

Our client is supporting a short-term HVAC and facilities management project at Qatar University, involving critical operations and maintenance (O&M) activities across large-scale electro-mechanical systems. The project requires experienced engineering professionals to ensure system stability, operational efficiency, and effective team coordination during the project period.

Location: Qatar University
Salary: QAR 8,000 (All-Inclusive)
Contract Type: Short-Term Contract (1 Month – Extendable)
Working Days: 6 Days per Week
Working Hours: 9 Hours per Day (Including Break)

We are seeking experienced HVAC Engineers / Facilities Engineers to support a short-term project at Qatar University. The role involves managing HVAC and electro-mechanical facilities operations, leading technical teams, and ensuring efficient operation and maintenance (O&M) of building systems.

Key Requirements

• District Cooling Plant Experience:
• Minimum 5 years’ experience managing operational teams
• Strong expertise in diagnosis and troubleshooting of water-cooled chiller plants (10,000 TR or above)
• Precision Cooling & Data Centers:
• At least 5 years’ experience handling CRAC / Precision A/C systems and data center cooling
• HVAC Operations & Leadership:
• Proven experience in HVAC system management with the ability to lead teams of 50+ personnel
• Experience in planning and handling HVAC systems for educational, commercial, and residential facilities
• Strong experience managing day-to-day HVAC operations and equipment

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / ELV)
• Minimum 8 years of experience in building electro-mechanical facilities O&M, including ELV systems
• Minimum 3 years GCC experience in a similar role is mandatory

Skills & Competencies

• Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work under pressure with a proactive and learning-oriented mindset
• Experience in vendor management, third-party coordination, and client interaction
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
