Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HVAC Field Supervisor to oversee daily field operations for our service team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to manage technicians while ensuring high-quality workmanship and a 5-star customer experience.

This role requires a hands-on leader who can support technicians in the field, maintain quality control, and ensure jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

· Supervise and support HVAC service technicians in the field

· Provide real-time technical support and troubleshooting assistance to technicians

· Perform job site visits for quality control and training purposes

· Train, mentor, and develop technicians to improve skill level and performance

· Create accurate and professional estimates for customers based on system evaluations, repair needs, and installation requirements.

· Handle escalated customer issues and ensure a professional resolution

· Inspect, diagnose, and repair HVAC systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety.

Qualifications & Requirements:

· 8+ years of HVAC field experience

· Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred

· Strong knowledge of HVAC systems including split systems, heat pumps, ductless systems, furnaces, and boilers

· Ability to diagnose complex HVAC issues and provide solutions

· Experience using field service software (ServiceTitan preferred)

· Strong understanding of HVAC codes, safety standards, and best practices

· Excellent communication and leadership skills

· Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

· Ability to manage multiple technicians and jobs simultaneously

· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

As a Field Supervisor, you’ll play an important role in leading by example, supporting technicians in the field, and helping maintain the standards and culture of the company.
  • Customer Service Training - As a Nexstar member company, all Field Supervisors at Advanced Air are expected to understand, follow, and help reinforce the Service System. You’ll begin learning and developing within the Service System by completing the self-study guide, participating in weekly Service System meetings, and working closely with management and technicians in the field.
  • Service System – Off-Site Training - As you continue running calls, supporting technicians, and developing within the Service System, the next step will be working toward attending Nexstar’s 3-day off-site training program. During the training, you’ll learn the full-Service System process, practice real-world scenarios with peers, and receive coaching from Nexstar trainers. This training is a major investment by the company and is designed to help strengthen leadership, communication, and customer service skills. To qualify, supervisors are expected to complete the self-study guide, submit curbside feedback forms, and actively participate in weekly meetings with management.
  • Running Service Calls & Field Support - Field Supervisors are expected to run service calls independently while also supporting technicians in the field. This may include ride-alongs, assisting with technical troubleshooting, reviewing service procedures, and helping technicians improve customer communication and overall performance. Participation in the on-call schedule is required. Supervisors will also be expected to complete and review Curbside Feedback Forms as part of the Service System process to help maintain consistency, accountability, and ongoing technician development.

For someone with no experience, this process can take less than three months, but it typically should not take longer than six months. It is your responsibility to take initiative and drive to the process.
