HVAC / Gas Fireplace Service Technician

Job SummaryWe are hiring an experienced HVAC / Gas Fireplace Service Technician to service residential and light commercial systems. This position is ideal for a technician who can diagnose issues accurately, work independently, and close repair opportunities on-site.Compensation & Benefits

• $25–$35/hr (based on experience)
• 15% service commission (repairs sold & completed by technician)
• 7% commission on sold jobs
• 8% commission on part installs from other technicians

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair HVAC systems (furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps)
• Service and repair gas fireplaces (millivolt and IPI systems)
• Troubleshoot electrical, gas, and mechanical issues
• Perform system inspections and preventative maintenance
• Present repair options to customers and complete work on-site
• Accurately complete service tickets and documentation
• Maintain organized truck stock and tools
• Participate in on-call rotation (one Saturday per month)

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years HVAC service experience
• EPA 608 Certification (required)
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Experience using a multimeter and reading wiring diagrams
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Ability to work independently in the field
• English required (bilingual a plus)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with gas fireplaces (Dexen, SIT, Proflame systems)
• Experience with gas furnaces, heat pumps, and RTUs
• NATE Certification

Work Location

• On the road (service vehicle provided)
