Position Summary:
To assist in achievement of the company’s strategic objective and annual goals through the
delivery of exceptional service and support reflective of Jerry Brittingham A/C & Heat vision, mission, purpose, and values.
Responsibilities:
- Create a positive customer experience.
- Assist in the installation of HVAC related equipment according to manufacturer’s specifications.
- Assist in the completion of all required documentation, including install checklist, on services and records.
- Understand when to issue “Lock Out/Tag Out” tag and the required follow-up steps.
- Transport materials and tools to the job site and provide proper accounting of assigned tools.
- Keep truck clean, stocked and accurately inventoried.
- Protect customer’s home from damage while working and leave customer’s home cleaner than when we arrived.
- Inform a technician, team lead, supervisor, and/or manager if the customer does not have HVAC service before leaving the call.
- Inform a technician, team lead, supervisor, and/or manager of any safety issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- EPA Certified or currently pursuing.
- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Graduate of Total Tech or other HVAC training school.
- A valid driver’s license and approved to drive by Company’s insurance carrier.
- Must be highly organized with good attention to detail and follow through.
- Possess good analytical skills and attention to detail with ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and manuals.
- Team player working in a team environment.
- Excellent customer service skills with desire to exceed customer expectations.
- Must be able to use a computer tablet, smart phone and read a map or follow GPS.
Physical Requirements:
- Work in indoor/outdoor elements with extreme variation in temperatures and weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow) at least 70% of the time.
- Climb ladders and steep stairs. Majority of time spent standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, and reaching. Often works in tight spaces such as attics and/or crawlspaces.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds with ability to push, pull, carry or maneuver heavier items (with additional manpower or appropriate devices).
- Occasionally works from heights 15 feet or higher above ground.
- Carry 24 ft extension ladder alone and/or 40 ft extension ladder with a fellow-coworker on most jobs.
- Have good visual acuity
Position Specific Standards:
- Willing to attend training class to advance his/her skill.
- Willing to work hours outside of normal work schedule, if needed.
- Maintain confidentially on all private, sensitive, and proprietary business issues and concerns.
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
