Duties

• Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and related mechanical components according to schematics and HVAC design plans
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on HVAC/R (refrigeration) systems to ensure optimal operation
• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately assemble and repair equipment
• Conduct plumbing connections, welding, and other mechanical tasks necessary for system installation or repair
• Use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters to test electrical circuits and ensure proper functioning of equipment
• Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and system specifications for each project

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction or service technician roles with a focus on HVAC systems or related mechanical fields
• Strong mechanical knowledge including refrigeration, plumbing, boiler operation, and equipment repair
• Ability to read schematics, HVAC design plans, and technical manuals with confidence
• Experience with field service work involving air conditioning units, ammonia refrigeration systems, or HVAC/R equipment
• Skilled in the use of diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment for repairs and installations
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driver’s license (CDL) is a plus
• Prior experience in appliance repair or property maintenance is advantageous
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
• Sheet metal work experience preferred
