Job Overview

Duties

• Install new HVAC system including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and related mechanical components according to schematics and HVAC design plans
• Conduct system inspections to verify proper operation and adherence to safety standards during installation
• Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to assemble, repair, or modify HVAC components
• Interpret technical schematics and blueprints to ensure precise installation and troubleshooting of complex systems
• Perform routine maintenance on existing HVAC/R systems and property infrastructure to maximize efficiency and longevity
• Diagnose issues related to refrigeration, ammonia refrigeration systems, plumbing, or appliance repair using mechanical knowledge and field service techniques
• Maintain detailed records of work performed, including equipment repairs, maintenance logs, and service reports

Requirements

• Proven experience in construction or property maintenance with a focus on HVAC installation or service technician roles
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair, welding, boiler operation, and refrigeration systems
• Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, and technical manuals for accurate system setup
• Ability to operate tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment confidently
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience as a <PERSON> driver is preferred for site visits and equipment transport
• Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems and HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) is highly desirable
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in the field under tight deadlines
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and clients on technical issues

Pay: $25.50 - $30.88 per hour
