Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled HVAC Installer/Service Technician/Helper to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and mechanical systems. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC equipment in commercial and residential settings. Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and related mechanical components.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical diagrams, and HVAC design plans to ensure precise installation and service.
- Perform system diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and other testing equipment to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct field service visits for routine maintenance or urgent repairs on HVAC/R (refrigeration) systems, property maintenance tasks, or appliance repairs.
- Assist with plumbing connections and ensure proper operation of ammonia refrigeration systems where applicable.
- Use welding skills when necessary for equipment repair or system modifications; maintain safety standards at all times.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, including service reports and system diagnostics for future reference.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in construction or mechanical trades with a focus on HVAC or refrigeration is highly preferred.
- Proven service technician experience with knowledge of HVAC systems, schematics, and HVAC design principles.
- Mechanical knowledge related to plumbing, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), boilers, and general equipment repair.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and testing devices such as ohmmeters confidently.
- Strong field service skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems efficiently.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience as a <PERSON> driver is a plus.
- Knowledge of property maintenance tasks and appliance repair is advantageous.
- Familiarity with welding techniques and boiler systems enhances your versatility on the job.
