HVAC Instructor

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable HVAC Instructor to inspire and educate the next generation of skilled technicians. Duties

  • Develop and deliver engaging curriculum covering HVAC/R systems, electrical wiring, mechanical components, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Conduct classroom instruction that combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on training in areas like air conditioning, plumbing, welding, and electrical systems.
  • Utilize industry-standard tools such as Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Blackboard learning management systems to enhance learning experiences.
  • Assess student progress through practical demonstrations, written exams, and project evaluations; provide constructive feedback to support growth.
  • Maintain a safe learning environment by enforcing OSHA safety standards and best practices during all instructional activities.
  • Collaborate with industry partners to ensure curriculum relevance and incorporate emerging technologies like automotive diagnostics and manufacturing processes.
  • Assist students in developing soft skills such as teamwork, communication, and problem-solving essential for success in the field.

Experience

  • Proven classroom experience teaching adult learners or technical students in HVAC/R or related trades.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge across multiple disciplines including automotive repair, aircraft maintenance, electrical work, plumbing, welding, and maintenance operations.
  • Hands-on experience working with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Blackboard platforms, and industry-specific tools.
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety protocols specific to construction sites, manufacturing plants, or maintenance environments.
  • Knowledge of curriculum development tailored to technical education programs; ability to adapt content for diverse learning styles.
  • Background in industries such as manufacturing or construction that require expertise in HVAC systems or electrical troubleshooting.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to adult learners with varying levels of experience.
