HVAC Lead Service & Install Technician

Overview

Provision Heating & Air is hiring an experienced HVAC Service & Install Technician to run residential service calls, perform diagnostics and repairs, and complete equipment installations when needed.

This position is for a skilled technician who is comfortable working independently in both service and installation. The ideal candidate can diagnose residential heating and cooling systems, clearly communicate repair or replacement options to customers, and complete high-quality equipment replacements and service-related installs.

This role may include furnace replacements, air conditioner replacements, heat pump installs, mini-split installs, indoor coil replacements, refrigerant repairs, and other HVAC service/installation work.

Duties

• Diagnose and repair residential HVAC systems
• Service furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioners, mini-splits, and related equipment
• Perform system troubleshooting, including electrical, airflow, refrigerant, and controls
• Replace failed components such as motors, boards, contactors, capacitors, gas valves, ignitors, pressure switches, and other HVAC parts
• Perform residential HVAC equipment replacements and service-related installs
• Install and replace furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, coils, and mini-split systems
• Braze refrigerant lines, pressure test, evacuate, and properly charge systems
• Verify proper operation, airflow, refrigerant charge, temperature split, and overall system performance
• Complete startups and final system checks
• Provide clear service notes, job documentation, photos, and recommendations
• Communicate repair and replacement options professionally with customers
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work vehicle
• Follow all safety procedures, electrical requirements, and company installation standards

Requirements

• Valid Washington 06A HVAC/Refrigeration Electrical License preferred/required
• EPA Certification
• Proven experience in residential HVAC service and equipment installation
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to complete service calls independently
• Ability to perform equipment replacements and installs to company standards
• Experience with refrigerant piping, brazing, evacuation, and charging
• Clean driving record
• Strong customer communication skills
• Professional appearance and attitude
• Ability to document work clearly and accurately

Position Summary

This is a hybrid role for someone who is not just a service technician and not just an installer. We are looking for someone who can diagnose the problem, explain the options, and complete the repair or replacement properly from start to finish.

Pay: $30.00 - $37.00 per hour
