HVAC Maintenance Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled HVAC Technician to join our team and drive excellence in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and mechanical systems maintenance. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of HVAC and related equipment across various property types. Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment (including ammonia refrigeration), and other mechanical systems.
• Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs.
• Perform routine inspections of HVAC/R equipment to identify potential problems before they escalate.
• Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems such as drainage, piping connections, and water supply lines.
• Utilize specialized tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and welding equipment for component repairs or modifications.
• Service field operations by responding promptly to service calls involving appliance repair, property maintenance, or mechanical malfunctions.
• Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system conditions for compliance and future reference.
• Operate company vehicles safely as a <PERSON> driver when traveling between job sites or client locations.
• Assist with the installation of HVAC equipment in new construction projects or renovation sites following safety protocols.
• Collaborate with team members on complex projects involving HVAC design modifications or system upgrades.
• Ensure all work complies with local codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.

Skills

• Extensive experience in construction environments with a solid understanding of building systems.
• Proven service technician experience with a focus on HVAC/R systems maintenance and repair.
• Strong ability to read and interpret schematics, technical diagrams, and HVAC design plans.
• Mechanical knowledge encompassing refrigeration systems—including ammonia refrigeration—and boiler operation.
• Skilled in plumbing tasks related to HVAC installations and repairs.
• Proficient in electrical testing using tools like ohmmeters; capable of troubleshooting electrical components within HVAC systems.
• Experience with appliance repair and general property maintenance tasks.
• Knowledge of air conditioning systems—both residential and commercial—and their installation/repair processes.
• Ability to operate welding equipment safely for system fabrication or repair purposes.
• Familiarity with field service operations including emergency response scenarios.
• Mechanical mechanic experience is highly desirable for complex equipment troubleshooting.
• Valid <PERSON> driver’s license with a clean driving record; comfortable operating company vehicles across various sites. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.09 - $36.24 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
