Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled HVAC Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure the optimal operation of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and related mechanical systems. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of HVAC equipment across various property types. Your expertise will help create comfortable, safe environments while supporting property maintenance initiatives. Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration units, and ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design documents to diagnose issues accurately.
- Conduct plumbing and mechanical repairs related to HVAC infrastructure to ensure system efficiency and safety.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to troubleshoot electrical components and perform necessary repairs or modifications.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete work orders promptly, and document all repairs performed.
- Assist with installation projects involving HVAC/R equipment or property maintenance upgrades.
- Operate a <PERSON> driver vehicle safely for field service visits across multiple sites.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in HVAC maintenance and repair.
- Knowledge of construction principles relevant to HVAC system installation and upgrades.
- Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design concepts, plumbing systems, refrigeration technology—including ammonia refrigeration—and mechanical knowledge essential for troubleshooting complex systems.
- Hands-on experience with appliance repair, boiler operation, welding techniques, and equipment repair is highly desirable.
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately; experience with HVAC/R systems is preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude combined with excellent problem-solving skills in field service environments.
