HVAC Maintenance Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled HVAC Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure the optimal operation of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and related mechanical systems. Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, refrigeration units, boilers, plumbing, and other mechanical equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC/R equipment using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
• Conduct field service visits to diagnose issues with air conditioning units, appliances, and property systems; execute repairs efficiently to minimize downtime.
• Install, modify, or upgrade HVAC systems according to design specifications and schematics; assist in HVAC design projects when needed.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and system conditions; prepare reports for management review.
• Operate welding equipment and perform basic mechanical repairs including boiler servicing and ammonia refrigeration system maintenance.
• Assist with property maintenance tasks such as plumbing repairs, equipment replacement, welding projects, and general mechanical troubleshooting.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a service technician within the HVAC or mechanical maintenance field; construction background is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), plumbing, boilers, and appliance repair.
• Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams related to HVAC design and mechanical systems.
• Mechanical knowledge coupled with hands-on experience in equipment repair and field service operations.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters; experience with welding and boiler maintenance is desirable.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate <PERSON> driver vehicles or similar is required.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments. Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
