HVAC Maintenance Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of HVAC systems and related equipment. This role requires a strong mechanical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in various field service environments. A valid driver’s license is required to facilitate travel between job sites. The position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects involving HVAC systems, plumbing, and property maintenance.

Duties

• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, including air conditioning units.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues using schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Conduct equipment repairs such as replacing compressors, motors, valves, and other components.
• Install new HVAC systems or upgrade existing systems according to design specifications and HVAC standards.
• Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment for troubleshooting electrical circuits and mechanical repairs.
• Maintain detailed service records and documentation of all maintenance activities.
• Assist with plumbing repairs related to HVAC systems or property maintenance needs.
• Respond promptly to service calls for emergency repairs or system failures in various property locations.

Experience

• Proven experience as a service technician with a background in HVAC, plumbing, or mechanical maintenance.
• Familiarity with HVAC design principles, schematics, and system troubleshooting techniques.
• Hands-on experience with HVAC systems, boiler operation, and equipment repair is preferred.
• Mechanical knowledge related to field service operations including welding skills is advantageous.
• specialized knowledge of HVAC/R is a plus.
