Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled HVAC Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure the optimal operation of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and related mechanical systems. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of HVAC equipment across various property types. Your expertise will help create comfortable, safe environments for our clients and tenants while supporting the overall property maintenance operations. Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration units, and ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design documents to diagnose issues accurately.
- Conduct equipment repairs using appropriate tools such as ohmmeters, welders, and other mechanical devices.
- Troubleshoot plumbing and refrigeration issues to ensure system efficiency and safety.
- Install new HVAC equipment or upgrade existing systems in compliance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and system performance logs.
- Operate a <PERSON> driver vehicle safely for field service visits to various properties or client sites.
- Collaborate with property managers and other technicians to coordinate maintenance schedules and emergency repairs.
Experience
- Proven service technician experience working with HVAC/R systems in commercial or residential settings.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair, welding, boiler operation, and appliance repair.
- Familiarity with construction processes related to HVAC installation or renovation projects.
- Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design plans effectively.
- Experience working with ammonia refrigeration systems or other specialized refrigeration equipment is a plus.
- Knowledge of property maintenance practices including plumbing, electrical systems, and general building mechanics.
- Field service experience demonstrating the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues efficiently.
