Primary Job Function:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing routine maintenance and cleaning of HVAC systems in homes and other residential and commercial properties.
Essential Duties:
- Conducting routine maintenance visits to HVAC systems to ensure that they are operating efficiently and safely.
- Cleaning HVAC systems, including filters and other components.
- Testing HVAC systems for leaks, pressure, and other performance metrics.
- Replacing worn or damaged parts as needed.
- Communicating with customers about maintenance needs and explaining technical information in a clear and understandable manner.
- Completing maintenance reports and other paperwork related to maintenance visits.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of HVAC systems, technologies, and maintenance methods.
- Managing inventory and ensuring that necessary parts and equipment are available for maintenance visits.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems and operations.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Able to work independently and with customers in a professional manner.
- Able to identify and address HVAC problems quickly and efficiently.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an HVAC apprenticeship or similar training program preferred.
- Experience in HVAC maintenance desirable.
Working Conditions:
Primarily on job sites and in shop. Regular exposure to outside weather conditions with occasional extreme cold and extreme heat. Risk of electrical shock and vibration.
Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
