HVAC Maintenance Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled HVAC Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure the optimal operation of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and related mechanical systems. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of HVAC equipment across commercial and residential properties. Your expertise will help create comfortable environments while ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards. Duties

  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration units, and ammonia refrigeration equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
  • Conduct plumbing repairs related to HVAC systems and property maintenance needs to ensure seamless operation.
  • Install, modify, and upgrade HVAC components based on design specifications and schematics; assist with HVAC design improvements when necessary.
  • Operate welding equipment and perform equipment repairs to maintain system integrity; handle boiler maintenance and repairs with precision.
  • Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, incident logs, and work orders promptly.
  • Support property maintenance tasks involving appliance repair, field service operations, and general mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Drive company vehicles as a <PERSON> driver to various job sites safely while adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols.

Experience

  • Proven service technician experience with HVAC systems in commercial or residential settings.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge of HVAC/R equipment including refrigeration systems, boilers, pumps, and ammonia refrigeration units.
  • Skilled in reading schematics, technical drawings, and electrical diagrams for troubleshooting complex systems.
  • Hands-on experience with plumbing repairs related to HVAC applications; familiarity with appliance repair is a plus.
  • Knowledge of construction principles relevant to installing or upgrading HVAC systems; experience with welding is advantageous.
  • Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively for electrical testing.
  • Previous field service experience working on air conditioning units, mechanical systems, or property maintenance projects is highly desirable. Pay: $58,941.00 - $62,691.00 per year
