HVAC Mechanical Project Manager

Job Description: HVAC Project Manager (Please No Recruiters)

Location: Arizona (Commercial/Industrial)
Reports To: VP of Operations Manager

Role Summary

The HVAC Project Manager oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical projects to ensure they are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. This role requires expertise in commercial or industrial HVAC systems and the ability to manage multiple high-stakes projects across the Greater Phoenix or surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities:

· Project Execution: Lead projects from pre-construction turnover through final inspections, closeout, and warranty documentation.

· Financial Management: Develop project budgets, track job costing (WIP/POC), manage monthly pay applications, and handle the RFI and change order processes.

· Estimating: Ability to estimate projects and change orders, establish correct project costs and ensure complete scope of work is costed correctly.

· Scheduling: Create detailed project timelines and coordinate labor requirements with field supervisors, technicians, and subcontractors.

· Procurement: Manage equipment buyouts, negotiate with vendors, and ensure all materials are delivered to the site according to the project schedule.

· Communication: Serve as the primary liaison between the company and clients, general contractors, and engineering teams.

· Safety & Compliance: Enforce OSHA safety standards and implement company QA/QC procedures to meet industry benchmarks.

Qualifications & Requirements:
Experience: 5+ years of experience in HVAC or mechanical construction, with at least 3 to 5 years in a project management capacity.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Mechanical Engineering or commensurate work experience is required.
  • Certifications: OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification is standard; PMP certification is a plus.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency in construction software like Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
  • Local Mobility: Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to various job sites throughout Arizona.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to conduct site visits, which may include climbing ladders, walking on uneven terrain, and working in Arizona’s outdoor climate (roughly 30% of the time).

Compensation:

· Salary Range is $100K to $140K based upon experience.

· Company gas Card.

· Car Allowance.

· 2 weeks paid vacation

Pay: $110,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
