HVAC Qualifier / H3-I License Holder (North Carolina)

Total Heating and Cooling is a fast-growing HVAC company based in Fort Mill SC. We’re focused on delivering high-quality installations, exceptional customer service, and building a team of professionals who take pride in their work. We’re currently seeking a North Carolina licensed H3-I HVAC contractor to serve as our qualifying license holder.

Position Overview

We are looking for a licensed North Carolina H3-I contractor to qualify our HVAC license and work alongside our leadership team as we build a high-performance heating and cooling company in the Charlotte market.

This role can be structured as full-time employment, part-time, or a qualifier agreement, depending on experience and involvement.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the qualifying license holder for the company with the NC State Board of Examiners of Plumbing, Heating & Fire Sprinkler Contractors
• Ensure work is performed in compliance with North Carolina HVAC codes and regulations
• Assist with permits and inspections when required
• Provide technical guidance and oversight for installations
• Maintain license in good standing with the state
• Participate in occasional operational or technical decisions as needed

Requirements

• Active North Carolina H3-I Heating Contractor License
• License must be in good standing
• Strong knowledge of residential HVAC systems and installation practices
• Ability to provide oversight and ensure compliance with state regulations
• Located in or willing to work with a company based in Charlotte, NC

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with residential replacement and new system installations
• Leadership or management experience in HVAC
• Interest in helping build and grow a company
