ASAP Plumbing is a fast-growing residential service company serving the greater Phoenix market. We are expanding into HVAC and are looking for a strong, experienced Qualifying Party (QP) to help build and lead the next phase of growth.
This is an opportunity to help launch and scale an HVAC division from the ground up with the backing of an established organization, strong marketing support, operational infrastructure, and executive leadership committed to growth.
Position Summary
The HVAC Qualified Party (QP) will serve as the company’s designated license holder and technical leader for HVAC operations in Arizona. This individual will help establish operational standards, oversee code compliance and workmanship quality, support recruiting and training efforts, and assist leadership in building a high-performing HVAC division.
Licensing & Compliance
- Serve as the company’s Qualifying Party (QP) for Arizona HVAC licensing
- Maintain all required licenses and ensure company compliance with state and local regulations
- Oversee permitting, code compliance, inspections, and installation standards
- Ensure adherence to OSHA and safety requirements
Operational Leadership
- Help establish HVAC operational processes, SOPs, and quality standards
- Assist in developing pricing structures, service standards, and installation procedures
- Support implementation and optimization of ServiceTitan workflows
- Work alongside leadership to scale HVAC operations strategically and profitably
Technical Oversight
- Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support for technicians and installers
- Assist with complex diagnostics, system design, and installation quality control
- Review workmanship and ensure high customer satisfaction standards
- Help create training materials and ongoing field coaching programs
Recruiting & Team Development
- Assist with recruiting HVAC technicians and installers
- Mentor and develop field personnel
- Help establish a culture centered around professionalism, accountability, and customer service
Growth & Strategy
- Partner with executive leadership on division growth plans
- Support inventory, vendor, and equipment strategy discussions
- Help drive revenue growth while maintaining profitability and operational excellence
Qualifications – Required
- Active Arizona HVAC Qualifying Party (QP) eligibility/license
- Extensive HVAC residential service and installation experience
- Strong knowledge of HVAC codes, permitting, and compliance requirements
- Leadership experience managing or mentoring technicians
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Qualifications – Preferred
- Experience helping launch or scale an HVAC division
- Familiarity with ServiceTitan or similar field service software
- Experience in residential replacement sales and service operations
- Knowledge of inventory, dispatching, and operational workflows
- EPA Certification
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive base salary starting at $100K
- Additional compensation for QP designation/licensing responsibility of $2.5K-$4K per month
