As an EPA-Certified Refrigerant Reclaimer, we proudly support the HVAC/R industry across California, Nevada, and Utah. We are now looking for a skilled and motivated Refrigerant Recovery Technician (Lead Role) to join our team.
Position: Lead Refrigerant Recovery Technician
Location: On-site
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday – Friday, Day Shift (Occasional evenings & weekends)
Pay Range: $23.00 – $36.00 per hour
Hours: 40 – 50+ hours per week
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
What You’ll Do:
- Recover refrigerant from small appliances to 1,000-ton chillers
- Safely operate stake bed or box trucks (under 26,000 lbs)
- Transport refrigerants and equipment to designated sites
- Load/unload cargo with a forklift or other tools
- Perform regular vehicle inspections and minor maintenance
- Maintain detailed records of deliveries, mileage, and work completed
- Ensure all work aligns with EPA, DOT, and OSHA standards
- Deliver professional, courteous service to clients and team members
Requirements:
- EPA Section 608 Universal Certification (required)
- Class C CDL with Hazmat Endorsement (Within 90 Days of hire)
- Clean DMV driving record
- Ability to lift 50–75 lbs regularly
- Must pass drug testing (DOT and CHP compliance)
- Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends
- Strong knowledge of low, medium, and high-pressure refrigerants
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of HVAC/R experience
- Forklift certification and proficiency with hand tools
- Background in auto repair, construction, painting, racing, welding, or fabrication
- OSHA 10-Hour certification (a plus)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit, high-performing team
