Electrical Service Technician in a Nutshell
The electrician will install and maintain the electrical wiring, fixtures, and systems in buildings while supporting our HVAC needs. The electrical service technician will mainly be doing daily service calls, so customer service is a high priority. The electrician will also understand safety procedures involved with
installation and is comfortable using hand tools.
What You’ll Be Doing

Diagnose issues, perform maintenance and repairs as well as recommend best solutions for our customers

Installs and repairs electrical wiring, systems and fixtures in buildings

Installs conduits and pipes to house electrical wires and cables
-
Ensures piping complies with electrical codes

Installs circuit breakers and other electrical hardware and connects wiring to them
-
Connects electrical systems to powerlines to provide electricity to the building
-
Knowledge of HVAC industry and corresponding equipment
-
Must be able to install electrical hardware such as junction boxes and circuit breaker units
-
Tests electrical systems to determine whether repairs are needed
-
Inspects electrical systems to determine whether repairs are needed

Replaces conduit and wiring as needed
-
Complies with all safety standards and regulations of the National Electrical Code

Supervise and train others in the installation and repair of electrical components

What We’re Looking For
-
Must have a current Idaho Electrical Journeyman Card, and possess or be willing to get a Washington Journeyman Card
-
Strong time management skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision

Must be able to maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service standards in stressful situations

Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written
-
Must be a self-starter with excellent problem-solving, analytical skills and mechanical aptitude
-
Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring, the ability to use hand tools and power tools, proficiency in the use of test meters and diagnostic equipment
-
Frequently works in outside weather conditions

May be required to perform work from ladders and heights

Minimum three (3) years of previous electrical experience and the completion of a formal apprenticeship

Requires a high school diploma and/or any equivalent of education and experience to meet the essential functions of the job
Must have a valid driver’s license and remain insurable under our company insurance policy

Work Schedule

Full-time

Monday through Thursday, 7:30am to 4:00pm

Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm
