HVAC Residential Installer

Duties

• Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, heat pumps, gas furnace, packaged units, and ductless systems (mini splits)
• Conduct system inspections and ensure proper operation by testing components such as thermostats, ductwork, and refrigerant lines
• Use specialized tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues during installation or repair
• Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and mechanical drawings to accurately assemble and install complex systems
• Perform routine maintenance on existing HVAC units, including cleaning, part replacement, and system calibration
• Assist with plumbing connections related to HVAC systems and ammonia refrigeration components when necessary
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and local building codes while maintaining a clean work environment

Requirements

• Proven experience as a service technician or installer within the HVAC industry, with knowledge of HVAC/R (refrigeration) systems
• Strong mechanical knowledge including familiarity with schematics
• Hands-on experience in the industry
• Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics accurately; familiarity with electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Experience working in field service environments with excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in physically demanding situations; comfortable working at heights or confined spaces when needed

We are a small family owned company that has been servicing Pinellas County since 2004. We are just looking for some good people to help us with installs and troubleshooting if needed. If you have prior installation experience that would be great. We do work with inverter systems by Daikin. We can train on them or can send you to a training class.

Pay: $16.00 - $30.59 per hour
