About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable HVAC Sales Representative to join our San Diego distribution team. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical understanding of HVAC systems and a passion for building long-term relationships with contractors. As a key member of our sales team, you will promote our product lines, support customer needs, and drive profitable growth in the Southern California market.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with HVAC contractors, installers, and service companies in the San Diego area.
- Promote and sell HVAC equipment, parts, accessories, and related products from our distribution portfolio.
- Conduct regular onsite visits to contractor shops, job sites, and customer locations to understand needs and present solutions.
- Provide product recommendations, technical guidance, and pricing support to customers.
- Manage a sales pipeline, track opportunities, and meet monthly/quarterly sales targets.
- Stay informed on industry trends, new technologies, and competitor offerings.
- Collaborate with sales team, customer service, and warehouse teams to ensure exceptional customer experience.
- Participate in vendor trainings and product launches; occasionally support events and contractor trainings.
- Resolve customer concerns and ensure timely follow-up on quotes, orders, and service issues.
Skills
- Proven experience in B2B sales, or territory management
- Strong negotiation and closing skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Proficiency in CRM software such as Salesforce or similar platforms
- Excellent communication skills for product demos, presentations, and client interactions
- Ability to generate leads through cold calling and networking efforts
- Knowledge of marketing strategies to support business development initiatives
- Technical sales experience preferred, especially in technology or product-based industries
- Strong analysis skills for market research and sales forecasting
- Ability to manage multiple accounts effectively while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience in retail sales or inside sales is a plus but not required

Preferred Experience
- Strong technical understanding of HVAC systems, components, and applications.
- Experience working for an HVAC distributor, manufacturer rep, or equipment manufacturer.
- Established contractor network in Southern California.
- Understanding of utility rebates, local code requirements, and emerging HVAC technologies (heat pumps, IAQ, etc.).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
