HVAC Selling Technician
A field role for high-level technicians who can diagnose with confidence, build trust with homeowners, and turn service calls into real solutions.

Our HVAC Selling Technicians combine technical expertise with strong homeowner communication to diagnose system issues, recommend the right path forward, and help customers make smart comfort decisions. What You’ll Actually Do
Diagnose
Evaluate residential HVAC system performance through observation, testing, and setup.
Troubleshoot service issues and perform preventative maintenance with accuracy and speed.
Use gauges, meters, analyzers, pumps, hoists, rigging equipment, torches, and hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Sell
Build trust with homeowners, explain findings in plain language, and present the right options for their home and budget.
Read and quote pricing using the Straightforward Pricing Guide.
Sell HVAC replacement systems, accessories, and service agreements when appropriate.
Serve
Explain service charges and completed work clearly and professionally.
Complete job documentation accurately and legibly.
Collect the information needed to ensure a smooth homeowner experience from diagnosis through completion.
Operate
Safely drive a company vehicle while representing the brand at a high level.
Work flexible hours and participate in rotating on-call nights and weekends when assigned.

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 7 years of experience.
Trade or technical school training preferred, but not required.
Strong diagnostic ability backed by field experience and training.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers and work independently under pressure.
Valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets company standards.
Pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.

Physical & Field Requirements
Ability to work in extreme heat, cold, noise, dust, fumes, and poor ventilation. Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders and attic stairs, and work in attics, basements, and crawl spaces. Ability to regularly stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, twist, grasp, and climb 4’ to 32’ ladders. Must not exceed 300 pounds including clothes and equipment to meet OSHA fall protection guidelines. Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force regularly and up to 50 pounds frequently.
