Service Manager – HVAC Team
Location: Alexandria, VA (NOVA)
Work Type: Full-Time, Salaried Exempt
Schedule: Standard business hours with flexibility to meet operational needs
Compensation: $85,000 – $110,000 annually + Bonus opportunity

What You’ll Do
-
Lead, coach, and mentor a team of residential HVAC service technicians
-
Hire, train, and develop technicians to maximize sales, customer service, and KPI results
-
Respond promptly to operational, employee, and customer issues, ensuring resolution
-
Monitor departmental KPIs and adjust manpower allocations to meet daily/weekly/monthly goals
-
Oversee truck inspections, technician presentation, and job quality standards

Promote customer satisfaction by handling escalations with professionalism and urgency

Assist with administrative functions including invoicing, orders, and inventory tracking

Maintain and optimize service desk efficiency and productivity

Audit work and customer interactions to ensure company standards are met

Collaborate with manufacturers, dealers, and vendors to support service operations

Maintain strong knowledge of plumbing regulations, safety requirements, and industry innovations
What We’re Looking For
Required:
-
1+ years of direct management experience in the HVAC industry, OR proven success as a residential service technician with leadership experience in related industries (plumbing, pest control, roofing, landscaping, etc.)

Strong leadership and team development skills with the ability to mobilize a team toward goals (revenue, efficiency, customer service)

Ability to solve complex problems, prioritize effectively, and take decisive action in a fast-paced environment

Excellent communication skills – verbal and written – with superb customer service focus

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with CRM or ERP platforms (ServiceTitan experience a plus)
Preferred:

Experience with NEXSTAR training and processes

Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, Management, or related field
