HVAC Service Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HVAC Service Manager to lead our heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration service operations. Duties

  • Lead and supervise a team of HVAC technicians, ensuring efficient scheduling, training, and performance management
  • Oversee the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and plumbing systems
  • Review schematics and technical drawings to diagnose issues accurately and develop effective repair strategies
  • Manage service calls in the field, providing technical guidance and ensuring timely completion of projects
  • Conduct inspections of equipment using tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to ensure safety and compliance with industry standards
  • Coordinate with clients to assess their property maintenance needs and recommend appropriate HVAC or refrigeration solutions
  • Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs, parts used, and compliance documentation

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a service technician with strong mechanical knowledge in HVAC/R systems including refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), plumbing, and appliance repair
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in managing field service teams within construction or property maintenance environments
  • Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design documents for troubleshooting and installation purposes
  • Knowledge of HVAC/R codes, safety standards, and best practices for equipment repair and maintenance
  • Familiarity with tools such as ohmmeters, welding equipment, and other diagnostic devices
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating <PERSON> driver vehicles preferred
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate with clients, team members, and vendors effectively
  • Experience with boiler systems, mechanical repairs, welding techniques, ammonia refrigeration systems, and property maintenance is highly desirable

Pay: $60,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
