Position Overview
The HVAC Technician III is a senior-level responsible for advanced diagnostics, service, and repair of commercial HVAC systems. This position operates independently in the field, supports and mentors junior technicians, and serves as a trusted resource for customers. You’ll work on complex systems across a variety of commercial environments, delivering high-quality solutions that keep critical operations running.
- Independently troubleshoot and repair complex HVAC issues including RTU, controls, chillers, boilers, and multi-zone systems.
- Perform system start-ups, commissioning, and performance testing
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and control system issues with precision
- Interface directly with customers, building engineers, and project teams
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior technicians and apprentices
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards, codes, and company procedures
- Maintain accurate service documentation, reports, and recommendations
- 5+ years of commercial HVAC experience.
- Expert knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, controls, and diagnostics.
- EPA 608 Universal Certification required.
- Additional certifications (e.g., NATE, OSHA 30, manufacturer training) a plus.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to manage projects and mentor lower-level techs.
