HVAC Service Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. This role requires a strong understanding of HVAC/R systems and the ability to troubleshoot various mechanical issues. The HVAC Technician will work in both residential and commercial settings, ensuring optimal system performance and customer satisfaction.

Duties

• Install new HVAC/R systems and components according to manufacturer specifications.
• Conduct routine maintenance checks on heating and cooling systems to ensure efficient operation.
• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning HVAC equipment using diagnostic tools and techniques.
• Utilize an ohmmeter and other tools to test electrical circuits and components for proper functionality.
• Perform welding tasks as needed for system repairs or installations.
• Plumb refrigerant lines and ensure proper refrigerant levels in systems.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and installations.

Skills

• Proficiency in ammonia refrigeration systems is highly desirable.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to work with various tools and equipment.
• Experience as a service technician in the HVAC industry is preferred.
• Knowledge of HVAC/R principles, including installation, maintenance, and repair techniques.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams related to HVAC installations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety protocols.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
