HVAC Service Technician

Roadrunner Plumbing & Air is a full-service Plumbing and HVAC company seeking an HVAC Technician to join our team. The candidate must possess professional customer service skills, extensive trade confidence and knowledge, and have the drive and motivation to grow the company.

We compensate our team members based on their dedication to the profession, business and experience level. Our office hours are from 07:30 am to 5:00 pm and the candidate must be able to work on call shifts on a bi-weekly basis.

Qualifications:

• Current HVAC License and 608 EPA certification (REQUIRED)
• Must possess customer service and interpersonal skills in both residential and commercial HVAC (Personable, trustworthy, and friendly)
• Provide references of a good work history and display a "Ready to Work" attitude
• Familiar with computing systems (Laptop, Tablet, Smartphone)
• Meet a demanding physical workload (heavy lifting, climb into attics, and into trucks)
• Excellent troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must have at least (2) years of prior sales experience in HVAC industry or equivalent
• Professional appearance at all times while providing quality service
• Punctual and must be able to manage time on service calls
• Contactor License is a bonus
• All candidates are required to undergo pre-employment drug screen and employment background checks

Responsibilities:

• Assemble, troubleshoot and repair our customers HVAC systems while providing quality service. 2 years of experience minimum.
• Ability to present options to the customer for repairs or complete system replacement. 2 years of experience minimum.
• Perform inspections and installation of existing systems while providing quality service
• Determine customer needs and perform customer consultation while providing quality service
• Must be able to perform duct cleaning while providing quality service
• Review building codes to determine optimal work procedures
• Work with and train any helpers assigned to work with you; able to professionally work and communicate with suppliers, inspectors and coworkers
• Prepare, complete and turn in paperwork accurately, and on a timely basis
• Maintain Company vehicle and Company-owned equipment to ensure smooth transition from job to job
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures
• Exhibit professional conduct at all times, including on the job site and while driving Company vehicles
• Willingness to participate in rotating on-call schedules for nights, weekends
• Willingness to participate in training to advance your skill set. Allowance will be provided for continuing education, post probationary period

Other Requirements:

• Must pass a background check and drug test
• Must have a current, valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Must have a valid contractors license and 608 EPA Certification
